Ask Secretary ("we", "us", "our") operates the asksecretary.com platform. This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share your information, including data accessed through Google APIs.
Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.
Content You Provide: Messages, files, tasks, and other content you create within the platform are stored to provide our services.
Connected Google Services: When you connect Google services, we access only the data you explicitly authorize through Google's OAuth consent screen. Each service connection is optional and can be revoked at any time. See Section 3 for details on each service.
Usage Data: We collect basic usage information such as login times and feature usage to improve the service.
Ask Secretary's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data storage: Google API data (email content, calendar events, file contents) is processed in real-time to respond to your requests. We do not permanently store the contents of your emails, calendar events, or files. OAuth refresh tokens are stored securely and encrypted to maintain your service connections.
Data caching: Responses generated from your Google data may be temporarily cached to improve performance. Cached data is automatically purged and is never used for purposes other than serving your requests.
Your messages and connected service data may be processed by AI language models to generate responses and assist with tasks. We use third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic and OpenAI). Your content is sent to these providers solely to process your requests and is not used to train their models. AI providers are contractually prohibited from retaining your data beyond what is needed to serve the request.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:
We do not transfer, sell, or use Google user data for serving advertisements, market research, or email campaign purposes.
Your data is stored on secure servers. We use encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. OAuth tokens for connected services are stored securely and can be revoked at any time.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days, including all stored OAuth tokens and any cached Google API data. Data required to be retained by law will be kept for the minimum legally required period.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Ask Secretary is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the platform or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
